Tanzanian Bongo Flava artist Aslay teams up with Amapiano hitmaker Chino Kidd on “Kipemba,” the ninth track from Aslay’s 14-track studio album My Way.

“Kipemba” is part of My Way, scheduled for release on May 29, 2026, under Sony Music Entertainment East Africa. The song blends Bongo Flava with vibrant Amapiano rhythms, bringing together Aslay’s emotional vocal style and Chino Kidd’s energetic street-party sound.
The title “Kipemba” refers to the dialect or cultural style associated with Pemba Island in the Zanzibar archipelago. Early studio teasers also connected the song with the phrase “Mpemba Kaua Penzi,” hinting at a playful love-themed direction wrapped in coastal flavor and danceable production.
As one of only two collaborations on My Way, “Kipemba” stands out as a highly anticipated track, especially after social media clips showed Aslay and Chino Kidd working together in the studio. The collaboration adds a lively, modern edge to the album while still keeping Aslay’s signature emotional Bongo Flava identity.
