Jahazi Modern Taarab is a leading Tanzanian modern Taarab music group founded in December 2006 in Dar es Salaam by Mzee Yusuf, alongside Khadija Yusuf. The group is known for helping shape the modern Taarab sound by blending keyboard-driven melodies, danceable rhythms, Swahili poetry, and mipasho-style lyrics that speak about love, relationships, family, and social life.
