The statement included details of his contract, which will run until June 2028 with the option of an additional year. The 24-year-old midfielder boasts an impressive record with 279 club appearances, scoring 58 goals and providing 53 assists. As a Champions League winner, he was also named Chelsea’s Player of the Year for both the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
