In recent months, supporters’ frustration has escalated due to the seemingly interminable takeover saga surrounding the Red Devils.

The Glazers declared their intention to sell the club back in November, initiating a process that has now been ongoing for approximately eight months.

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are at the forefront of the two leading bids for the Premier League giants, with the former growing increasingly confident about completing the takeover.

Nonetheless, fans have been patiently awaiting new ownership at Old Trafford. As the new season draws near, they are preparing to voice their discontent towards the Glazers during the release of the club’s new home kit.

On Tuesday morning, the 1958 supporters’ group took to Twitter to announce their plans for a protest outside the Old Trafford megastore. Their message read:

“DON’T FEED GLAZER GREED! The 1958 will be present at the megastore on Tuesday. A lawful protest starting at 9:45 am.

“Join us! Bring your anti-Glazer flags and banners! Make noise, be visible. We won’t cease until they sell our club! #GlazersOut #BoycottAdidas.”

This protest will coincide with the public launch of Manchester United’s new adidas home kit.

In a press release for the 2023/24 kit, it is stated that the shirt symbolizes the essence of Manchester and proudly represents the cultural identity and rich heritage of the city. It also aims to capture the unwavering dedication and love that the fans have for the club. The kit is described as a testament to the club’s timeless belief in achieving success, now and forever.

There was optimism that new ownership would be established before the start of the transfer window. However, with the market already open and the beginning of pre-season approaching for United, a definitive decision regarding ownership is yet to be reached.

Tuesday is anticipated to witness another day of fan protest against the Glazers, who have been in charge since 2005.
