Maalim Nash, also known as Nash MC, has built a reputation for delivering socially conscious music that challenges the status quo. In this installment, he collaborates with producer Black Ninjah, who provides a gritty and hard-hitting beat that complements Nash’s intense delivery and lyrical precision.
In “C.A.MUTA,” Maalim Nash adopts the role of a symbolic “auditor” of the music industry — a creative twist inspired by the concept of a Controller and Auditor General (CAG). Through this lens, he delivers a lyrical audit of Tanzanian hip-hop and society, calling out weak lyricism, lack of originality, and what he describes as “ufisadi” within the creative space.
