A TikTok posted on Christmas Day went viral immediately after it showed two Korean Americans as the targets of verbal racial harassment.

Arine Kim and Elliot Ha were filming themselves trying the San Ramon In-N-Out menu when they were approached by a male customer who proceeded to insult them with a homophobic and racist rant.

San Ramon police have identified and arrested the male suspect in a press release posted on Tuesday (December 27).

Soon after Arine’s video went viral, Chief Denton Carlson of San Ramon Police Department reached out to her on Twitter to investigate the situation.

Arine, who grew up in Moraga, California, can be seen introducing In-N-Out’s light well fry to her friend, Elliot, before a customer asks if they’re filming themselves eating. The friends were left speechless and confused as Jordan call “weird homosexuals”.

“Are you Japanese or Korean?” asks the customer later on.

After Ha informs that he’s Korean, the customer asks if he’s Kim Jong-Un’s boyfriend. Ha continues to speak to the suspect whilst chuckling, but Kim encourages him to stop talking.

“Normally, I could spit in your face, that’s some Filipino s***,” Krah continues.

He adds, “See you outside in a minute.”

Although not captured on video, Kim notes that the customer continued to stare at the friends outside the window.

NBC Bay Area states the pair waited until the fast food chain closed and had employees walk them out to ensure their safety. Krah had reportedly left by then. You can view the entire altercation via Arine Kim’s TikTok here – Warning: disturbing language.
