Since releasing their first mixtape in 2011, fans of Migos have often wondered if the band members are in the same family or not.
The three entertainers are related. Quavo, the oldest at 31, is Takeoff’s uncle. Takeoff tragically died after Halloween 2022, aged 28, per TMZ.
The third member of the group, Offset – known for his off-again, on-again relationship with Cardi B – is Quavo’s cousin.
Offset, 30, and Cardi, also 30, share two children. He is the father of three other children from multiple women.

Born on June 18, 1994, Takeoff – legal name Kirshnik Khari Ball – was a rapper and entertainer. He was raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where he grew up close to Quavo and Offset.
The trio began making music together in the early 2000s, releasing their first mixtape in 2011. Within two years, the group had a ranking single: Versace.
They soon began collaborating with several famous hip-hop artists, including Young Thug and Lil Uzi Vert. As of 2022, the Migos have seemingly broken up – each artist releasing solo work before Takeoff’s sudden death.

What happened to Takeoff?
Cops confirmed Takeoff and Quavo were at a party in the early morning hours of November 1, 2022. Takeoff was shot dead while his bandmate rushed to help, TMZ initially reported.
Reports say that he was shot in either the head or the neck. Quavo, not injured in the shooting, could be heard screaming for help in footage seen by the outlet.

It’s believed the pair were playing dice when the shooting happened. Two others were reportedly taken to hospital, with around 40-50 people in attendance at the time at the private party.
It’s not known what sparked the shooting.
