In the video, Diamond had a cowboy outfit and he was at what so looked like the cow boy’s bar, and in the bar, there were the Confederate flags.

It was later brought to discussion by a hip hop artist in Tanzania, Wakazi, that tweeted about the flag to bring controversy and it will be hard for Diamond to get through the US market, and he called the use of the flag as ignorance of the Tanzanian artists.

What do Confederate flags actually mean?

In 1860-61, in order to protect the slavery institution, eleven southern states seceded from America and formed the Confederate States of America, which then accelerated the civil war. During the war number of flags were used and the famous one was called the battle flag.

Some organizations used the flag as the southern heritage but the flag also served as a symbol of slavery white supremacy and that caused it to be popular in the 20th to 21st centuries among white supremacists. And the popularity has gone even far from the United States.

American artists like Ludacris and Kanye West have also used the Confederate flags in their activities claiming to mean that they try to show where the black community came from.

Diamond hasn’t yet replied to any of the comments, however, some comments say he may have a message and it’s not wise to call him ignorant simply because he is an African but some comments said he should edit the video and apologize or he is going to divide his fans.
