Kenyan singer-songwriter Coster Ojwang delivers a vibrant Afro-Pop and Folk-fusion single titled “Nyachula,” a soulful song that blends romance, cultural pride, and authentic storytelling.

Released on October 4, 2024, “Nyachula” appears as the 10th track on Coster Ojwang’s 17-track debut album, ISNM (Imposter Syndrome No More). The song is performed in a blend of Dholuo and English, giving it a warm East African identity rooted in language, melody, and heritage.
The title “Nyachula” refers to a beautiful girl from the lake region, specifically Mbita, with lyrics that praise her grace, charm, and the way she has captured the singer’s heart. The song also carries a homecoming feeling, with lines about returning to the countryside in December to reconnect with love, family, and roots.
Musically, “Nyachula” stands out through its clear melody, acoustic feel, and guitar-driven arrangement, featuring guitars by Edwin Oloo Sulle. The track was produced by Ian Stephen Owiti, with mixing and mastering by Tawala Beats.
An official music video for “Nyachula” was released on June 22, 2025, further strengthening the song’s connection to culture, place, and real-life storytelling. The song later gained wider recognition, including a peak at #92 on the WAKILISHA charts in early 2026.
