Malawian dancehall veteran Maovololo, also known as Real Maovololo, teams up with hip-hop artist K Banton on “Bayala wa Calculator,” a fresh Dancehall / Hip-Hop collaboration released on June 5, 2026.

Produced by Junior Beats, “Bayala wa Calculator” brings together Maovololo’s dancehall energy and K Banton’s rap delivery under the tagline “Dancehall meets Hip Hop.” The music video was directed by The Ghettofiga and features Tido, adding a strong visual element to the release.
The title “Bayala wa Calculator” can be understood as “The Owner of the Calculator” or “Master of Calculations.” The song carries a confident message about counting hits, musical dominance, and proving authority in the Malawian music scene.
Maovololo is a respected Lilongwe-based dancehall artist who has been active since 2004 and is associated with Mabilinganya Empire. Often referred to as “Mfumu ya Dancehall,” he continues to represent Malawi’s dancehall movement with experience and consistency, while K Banton adds his versatile Hip-Hop / Afro-pop flavor to the track.
