Kenyan Gengetone artist Ssaru teams up with Fathermoh on “Kwanini,” a fresh collaborative single released through Ziiki Media.

Officially released on June 5, 2026, “Kwanini” brings together Ssaru, widely known as the Queen of Genge, and Fathermoh, one of Kenya’s most recognizable voices for catchy hooks and street anthems. The song was produced by Brim, composed by Sylvia Ssaru, and written by Sylvia Ssaru together with Moses Otieno, also known as Fathermoh.
Musically, “Kwanini” continues the duo’s strong chemistry following popular collaborations such as “Kaskie Vibaya,” “Gongewa,” and “Ding Dong.” However, this release leans into a more melodic and questioning mood, matching the meaning of the title “Kwanini,” which translates from Swahili as “Why.”
The song arrives during a busy period for both artists, with Ssaru continuing to strengthen her presence through the Queen of Genge EP, while Fathermoh remains one of the most active names in Kenya’s collaboration scene. Together, they deliver another catchy Gengetone-infused release with strong urban appeal.
