Malawian Afrobeats star Onesimus delivers a playful and relatable new song titled “Borrow Me Money,” taken from his newly released 2026 album, Son of Grace.

Released on May 25, 2026, “Borrow Me Money” appears as the fourth track on Son of Grace, a 19-track project named in honor of the artist’s late mother, Grace Kalua. The album carries themes of African identity, love, relationships, personal stories, and international collaboration.
In “Borrow Me Money,” Onesimus turns financial struggle into a lighthearted prayer for breakthrough. The song’s central plea, “Holy Father please borrow me money, I’ll give you back I swear,” captures the humorous but honest feeling of wanting a sudden financial blessing and avoiding embarrassment in front of others.
The track has also gained attention on social media, where fans have used its catchy sound for dance challenges and funny videos about money dreams, pressure, and financial aspirations. Before the album release, Onesimus teased the song during listening sessions, including a major appearance at BICC in Malawi on May 2, 2026.
