His wife, Anna, immediately performed chest compressions while waiting for emergency services. Despite her efforts and the brief revival of his heartbeat, Yefimchyk’s brain could not be saved. “I spent every day by his side, hoping. His heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” Anna shared, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support she has received during this difficult time.
Known in the bodybuilding world as “The Mutant,” Yefimchyk gained a reputation for his “mass monster” diet of up to 16,500 calories per day, which included over five pounds of steak and more than 100 pieces of sushi. Despite never competing professionally, he built a significant online presence, sharing his intense workouts with over 100,000 followers.
Inspired by the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, Yefimchyk was a powerhouse, capable of a 600-pound bench press, a 700-pound deadlift, and 700-pound squats. His untimely death follows the recent losses of other bodybuilders, including British athlete Neil Currey and Brazilian competitor Antonio Souza, highlighting the dangers associated with the sport.
Yefimchyk’s passing has left a void in the bodybuilding community, where he was respected for his dedication, strength, and unique persona. Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.
