Born In The Wild peaked at No. 5 on the Apple Music Album Chart, making it the highest-charting album by a Nigerian female artist in the platform’s history. This milestone places Tems among the top Nigerian artists who have reached the top 5 on the Apple Music US Album Chart.
The 18-track album showcases Tems’s personal and artistic growth, blending RnB, new soul, Afrobeats, and hip-hop influences. It features collaborations with Afrobeats superstar Asake and American Grammy-winning rapper J. Cole.
Tems’s achievement on the Apple Music US Album Chart puts her in the company of other Nigerian artists who have reached similar heights, including Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid. Davido’s Timeless and Burna Boy’s I Told Them both peaked at No. 2, while Wizkid’s S2 EP also reached No. 2. Asake’s Work of Art and Burna Boy’s Love, Damini both peaked at No. 4, and Seyi Vibez’s NAHAMciaga EP, Olamide’s Unruly, and Wizkid’s Made In Lagos all peaked at No. 5.
