Cardi B has weighed in on the recent call to ban p*rnography, a stance promoted by right-wing commentator Candace Owens. Owens described XXX content as a โpsychological weaponโ against men and urged for its ban in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Cardi B responded to Owensโ call on Instagram, expressing confusion over the extreme stance. โOmmmggg why yall so against porn? Is it that bad for yall?โ she wrote. โI enjoy it, but I donโt know, I guess it’s like a 6-time-a-year thing. I personally donโt feel any connection or addiction to it, just a quick little one-twoโฆ. NOTHING LIKE REAL INTIMACY!โ
Addressing Owens’ claim that p*rn weakens men, Cardi added, โIt actually should teach men how to please a woman.โ
In other news, Cardi B is still planning to release her long-awaited album in 2024. Despite previously stating she wouldnโt drop her sophomore effort this year, her team has confirmed that the album is still in the works and slated for release next year.
Cardi, who graced the cover of Rolling Stone, opened up about her follow-up to 2018โs Invasion of Privacy. The album is reportedly partially done but still needs an intro, at least three more songs, a title, features, and a rollout plan.
The rapper’s varied moods and experiences are influencing the albumโs direction. โIโm a different person every single day,โ she said. โWhen Iโm in a good mood and Iโm with my friends, [Iโm] like, โDamn, I want my shit to be played in this club.โ But then I might be mad with my man, so itโs like now I want to do this song. But then I want to do a pop record. I want to do my sing-y shit.โ
Stay tuned for more updates on Cardi Bโs upcoming album and her latest takes on trending topics.
