Linda Edna Cardellini was born on June 25, 1975, in Redwood City, California. She began acting in local theater productions as a child and later studied theater at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Cardellini’s breakout role came in 1999 when she was cast as Lindsay Weir in the critically acclaimed TV show Freaks and Geeks. She then went on to star in a number of other TV shows and movies, including the live-action Scooby-Doo movies, the Netflix series Bloodline, and the TV show Mad Men.
In addition to her acting career, Cardellini has also lent her voice to a number of animated projects, including the animated series Sanjay and Craig and the animated movie Lego Scooby-Doo! Blowout Beach Bash.
Cardellini is also known for her philanthropy, supporting various charities and foundations.
