Former Premier League star, Micky Gray, has slammed referee Graig Pawson for disallowing Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle on Sunday.

The Portugal international was booked after having a goal disallowed in a bizarre moment during the game.
Ronaldo rolled the ball into the net with his left foot after taking it off Magpies goalkeeper Nick Pope in the middle of the pitch.
But Pawson blew his whistle to bring back play and let Newcastle take the free-kick that they were initially awarded for an earlier offside on Ronaldo.
But the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar and his United teammates argued that the free-kick had already been taken.
Replays show the ball was kicked to Pope by Fabian Schar before Ronaldo pinched it and put it in the net.
And Gray thinks Newcastle got away with one, saying on talkSPORT: “That ball is in play. Ronaldo’s sharp, he’s bright, and he makes a move as soon as Nick Pope’s in contact with this ball.
“It’s a very difficult one because they [the Newcastle players] will all say they’ve not taken the free-kick.”
Manchester United have now drawn one, lost three, and won six of their first ten Premier League matches this season.
Erik ten Hag’s men’s biggest defeat this season had come from Manchester City -6:3, and Brentford, 4:0, and the Red Devils maintained their 5th position in the league table.
