Following Liverpool FCโ€™s emphatic victory over Rangers by 7 goals to 1 in the group stage fixture in the Champions League, Egyptian forward Mo Salah has set a new goal-scoring record in the history of the competition.

Salah scored three goals in six minutes making it the fastest hattrick recorded in the competitionโ€™s history as Jurgen Kloppโ€™s side looked to cement their place as second on the group table ahead of the knockout stages of the competition.

Salah was brought on as a substitute in the 68th minute of the game where he scored three goals in quick succession to defeat the Rangers who have still not managed to score a goal in the champions league.

Liverpool would be looking to take this impressive form into the weekend as they would take on a Manchester City side that has been ruthless since the start of a new season.

Salah has struggled to get goals since the start of the new season and would definitely see this as a huge booster ahead of the clash over the weekend.
