Coogler went to withdraw $12,000 cash and without speaking a word but a note that said the money shouldn’t be counted on a counter “I would like to withdraw $12,000 CASH from my checking account. Please do the money count somewhere else. I’d like to be discreet.” The note said.
It seems the Bank teller took that as attempting robbery and went to her boss while keeping Ryan waiting, and the boss called the cops and Ryan ended up in handcuffs.
After the police did their investigation they came to find out it is a huge mistake and Coogler asked for money count elsewhere so he doesn’t attract bank attention and felt unsafe.
On a body cam video, Coogler was trying to explain himself to the officers about his perspective and the teller was making a mistake because the transaction was legal and he gave his ID as he was asked.
The bank collaborated and it all went well Coogler was released and he asked for who made the call and the police badge numbers.
