Nigerian singer and multi-award winner including the MTV Europe Awards for Best African Act 2019, Daniel Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy, has given heavy cheeks to Nasty C of South Africa, claiming he could invest money in him over almost any American rapper.

The Grammy Awards for Global Music Album 2021 and BET Award for Best International Act 2021 winner, made the statement immediately after being asked why Americans have been branding Afrobeats as any music from Africa.
In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Burna Boy who is currently in the United States stated that;
“Yes, not everything is Afrobeats. Nasty C is a rapper, and because he comes from Africa are you saying he does Afrobeats? No, he is a rapper. I can invest my money in Nasty C on almost any American rapper.”.
