Malawian artist Onesimus teams up with Liberian singer JZyNO and South African artist Danya Devs on “Melanin,” a vibrant Afropop / Afrobeats collaboration from his May 2026 album, Son of Grace.

“Melanin” appears as the seventh track on Son of Grace and runs for approximately 3 minutes and 45 seconds. The song was composed by Armstrong Kalua, Sphelele Dunywa, and Jonathan Lee Pratt, with lyrics by Butter Baby. Production and mastering were handled by DJ Megi, with additional mastering support from Jmass and Gift Nanchinga.
The track celebrates African beauty, confidence, and modern romance, using its smooth rhythm and high-energy delivery to create a feel-good Pan-African sound. By bringing together artists from Malawi, Liberia, and South Africa, “Melanin” reflects the album’s wider message of borderless culture and a unified African music identity.
