Zimbabwean artist Takura releases a new Afro-pop project titled “Vanilla EP.” The project delivers a smooth and melodic sound, blending Afro-pop, Afro-fusion, and romantic storytelling across five tracks.

“Vanilla EP” was officially released on May 8, 2026, under One Entertainment/JUNGLE. The project contains five songs: “Gwara” featuring Clef Jones, “Handizvione,” “Tattoo,” “Anondida” featuring Tamy Moyo, and “Kanganisa.” Apple Music lists the EP as a 5-song, 14-minute Afro-pop release.
Takura, also known as Shona Prince, is a Zimbabwean artist known for blending hip hop, Afro-pop, R&B, and Shona-influenced melodies. On this EP, he leans into a softer, love-centered sound, with guest appearances from Clef Jones and Tamy Moyo.
The project explores love, attraction, affection, and emotional connection. From the smooth opening of “Gwara” to the romantic feel of “Anondida” and “Tattoo,” “Vanilla EP” presents a sweet, polished sound that highlights Takura’s melodic side.
