Hailing from Lilongwe, Malawi, The Great Angels Choir has become one of the most influential gospel music groups in the country. Originally founded in the 1980s as the Kawale Church of African Presbyterian (CAP) Choir, the group underwent a significant transformation in the late 1990s with the arrival of the Zonda siblings. Their leadership brought new energy and vision, evolving the choir into a dynamic, professional gospel ensemble.

The turning point came in 2008 with the release of their second album, Gwireni Dzanja, which catapulted them into the national spotlight. Since then, The Great Angels Choir has continued to bless audiences with powerful harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and a message of faith and hope—evident in uplifting songs like “Wake Wake.”
