Nigerian hip-hop and afrobeats rapper and songwriter, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, released his fifth studio album, “Eyan Mayweather”, on 23 November 2015 through his imprint YBNL Nation.

The 21-track project is the follow-up to his collaborative album with Phyno titled “2 Kings”, and features production from heavy-hit producers such as Pheelz, Young Jonn, B-Banks and I.D. Cabasa. Olamide’s consistency in dropping a major project each year at that point reaffirmed his spot as a dominant force in Nigeria’s street-pop and rap scene.

Rather than focusing on a single theme, “Eyan Mayweather” blends celebratory anthems, street-wise tales, and introspective lyrics—showcasing Olamide’s versatility from trap-influenced rap to melodic afropop. Tracks like “Bobo”, “Lagos Boys” and “Melo Melo” were already making waves before the album dropped.
