Born Nyamari Ongegu on April 8, 1984, he first rose to fame in the early 2000s as one-third of the legendary rap group Kleptomaniax. The group helped shape the Kenyan hip-hop landscape with hits that still echo today.

But just as his star was rising, Nyashinski made a bold move—relocating to the United States in 2006. There, far from the spotlight, he lived a completely different life, working regular jobs including a stint as a truck driver.
Fast forward a decade, and in 2016, he made a triumphant return to the Kenyan music scene—this time as a solo artist. With heartfelt lyrics, genre-blending sound, and unmatched authenticity, Nyashinski quickly re-established himself not just as a comeback king, but as one of the most respected and consistent voices in East African music.
