Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, professionally known as Seyi Vibez, was born on July 12, 2000, in Ketu, Lagos, Nigeria. He spent his childhood in Lagos and later moved to Ikorodu, where he grew up and nurtured his love for music.

Seyi Vibez began his official music journey in 2019 with the single Anybody. He broke through into wider recognition in 2020 with Godsent, and in 2022 released his album Billion Dollar Baby, which was a major hit in his career.

Alaska is one of the tracks on Seyi Vibez’s EP “Memory Card”, released in January 2023. The song blends his signature style of street pop/Afro-pop with evocative lyrics. The intro lines “Alaska, I never see your type before…” set up a romantic, admiration-filled mood.

Lyrically, it combines romantic infatuation with vivid imagery — luxury, appreciation, even references to geography (“Alaska”) to symbolize cold or distant beauty. There’s also ambition in the lyrics, with lines that reflect wanting better living, not wanting to remain mediocre.
