Jeff Bagwell Net Worth
Jeff Bagwell has a net worth of $45 million. He played 15 seasons in MLB from 1991 to 2005. Despite his success, Bagwell has said he “doesn’t enjoy too much of the spotlight.” At his uniform retirement ceremony, friend and teammate Brad Ausmus shared that Bagwell loved soccer as much as baseball growing up in Connecticut.

Bagwell hit three fewer home runs than his idol Carl Yastrzemski (452). Though listed as six feet tall, he is closer to 5’10”. Both Bagwell and Ausmus hit 32 triples. After retirement, Bagwell was seen with longer hair, which Ausmus confirmed were not extensions.
Early Life
Jeff Bagwell was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Janice (née Hare) and Robert Bagwell. His family moved to Killingworth, Connecticut, when he was one. Both parents are Boston Red Sox fans, and his favorite player was Carl Yastrzemski.
His father, from Watertown, pitched college baseball at Northeastern University and semi-professionally. His mother, a police officer from Newton, played softball locally. After his parents divorced when he was 11, Jeff showed early athletic talent, famously able to throw a ball before walking.
Career
Bill Denehy, head coach at the University of Hartford, offered Jeff Bagwell a baseball scholarship, despite baseball not being his primary sport. Bagwell accepted partly due to the lack of a professional soccer league in the U.S. At Hartford, Denehy moved him to third base.
Over three seasons, Bagwell batted .413 in 400 at-bats, setting a school record and briefly a New England collegiate record. He led in home runs (31) and RBIs (126) and was a two-time Eastern College Athletic Conference player of the year. In 1987-1988, he played summer baseball for the Chatham A’s in the Cape Cod Baseball League, earning an all-star start in 1988.
Personal life
Since retiring, Jeff Bagwell has focused on family while occasionally coaching for the Houston Astros. He is married to his third wife, Rachel Bagwell, and they have a blended family with five children. Rachel had three children before meeting Jeff. Jeff has two daughters, Blake and Bryce, from his previous marriage to Ericka Bagwell.
His first wife was model Shaune Bagwell (née Stauffer), whom he married in 1992. Rachel was previously married to Dr. Michael Brown, a Houston-area hand surgeon and founder of Brown Hand Center.
