“Premier Gaou” is a defining zouglou single by Magic System, from Ivory Coast. Originally released in 1999 on the Premier Gaou album, the autobiographical song narrates lead singer Salif “A’Salfo” Traoré’s story of rejecting a once-devoted lover who returns after his fame.
