Rita Marley, born July 25, 1946, is a Jamaican singer and the widow of reggae legend Bob Marley. She played a key role in the I-Threes, the backup vocal group for Bob Marley & The Wailers. As a solo artist, her song “Harambee” is a pan-African anthem calling for unity and strength in Jamaica and across Africa.
