Michael John Kells Fleetwood (born 24 June 1947) is a British musician, songwriter, and actor. He is the drummer, co-founder, and leader of the rock band Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood’s surname, combined with bassist John “Mac” McVie, formed the band’s name.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac in 1998, Fleetwood was born in Redruth, Cornwall and lived in Egypt and Norway. He founded Fleetwood Mac in London and later invited Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to join.
