In a recent virtual press conference, the family’s legal representatives, Wahab Shittu and Taiwo Odumosu, formally rejected the toxicology report. They called on the Lagos State government to conduct a new test, emphasizing the need for transparency and integrity in the process.
The family has also appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, urging him to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. The legal team has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the initial investigation and the toxicology test. Despite claims that the test was conducted in the United States, it reportedly lacked concrete evidence.
Adding to their concerns, the toxicology report bore the letterhead and address of the National Medical Services Laboratories in Pennsylvania, raising questions about the authenticity of the test results.
The Aloba family, along with Mohbad’s fans worldwide, is seeking clear answers and demanding a thorough investigation into the singer’s untimely death. They emphasize that only a transparent and credible process will provide the closure and justice that Mohbad deserves.
