Tanzania’s All Stars, a collaboration of premier Bongo Flava artists, have united to honor the memory of Edward Lowassa with a heartfelt tribute song titled “R.I.P Edward Lowassa.”

Edward Ngoyai Lowassa (26 August 1953 – 10 February 2024) was a prominent figure in Tanzanian politics, serving as the Prime Minister from 2005 to 2008 under President Jakaya Kikwete. His tenure was historically significant as he became the first Prime Minister in Tanzania to resign due to a fraud scandal. This event led President Kikwete to dissolve his cabinet, as mandated by the Constitution, subsequently appointing Mizengo Pinda as the new Prime Minister.
