Davido's Triple 2024 Grammy Nomination Disappointment

Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, faced a surprising outcome at the 66th Grammy Awards, as he did not secure a win in any of the three categories for which he was nominated. The ceremony, held on the night of Sunday, February 4, saw Davido in the running for several prestigious awards.

His track ‘Feel’ contended for the Best Global Music Performance, while his album ‘Timeless’ was up for Album of the Year. Additionally, his song ‘Unavailable’ was a hopeful for the Best African Music Performance.

Despite the high hopes and anticipation, the celebrated artist was unable to clinch an award in any of these categories. In a heartfelt interview with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly during the Pre-Grammy show, Davido expressed his excitement and shared that he would “go crazy celebrating” if he won the award for Best African Music Performance. This statement underscored his enthusiasm and the significance of the nomination to him personally.
