Tiwa Savage Files Police Complaint Against Davido for Alleged Threats, Escalating Afrobeats Artists’ Feud
Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has reportedly taken serious measures against fellow artist Davido, accusing him of making physical threats towards her. In a move to ensure her safety, Savage has reached out to the Lagos State Police Command for intervention.

The alleged conflict between the two popular singers came to light after Savage shared a petition dated January 9, 2024, where she detailed the threats she received from Davido. This situation reportedly escalated after Savage posted a photo on Instagram with Davido’s estranged baby mama, Sophia Momodu, which seemed to have triggered an adverse reaction from him.
In her statement, Savage mentioned receiving aggressive messages from Davido following her Instagram post. She described how Davido, in his messages to her manager, used disrespectful and derogatory language, warning her to steer clear of him.
The situation worsened as Savage started receiving calls and texts from mutual acquaintances, indicating that Davido was upset over her friendship with Momodu. According to Savage, these acquaintances conveyed Davido’s threats, suggesting she should be cautious in Lagos as he was planning to “f**k her up.”
Tiwa Savage expressed her concerns over this being a form of harassment, affecting not just her but also her team members. This development has raised eyebrows, especially considering the previous friendly relationship between the two artists, who once graced the cover of Billboard Magazine together.
The feud has become more public and intense, with Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz, also getting involved. Teebillz has called out Davido on social media, accusing him of disrespecting his family and vowing to “teach him a lesson.”
