ASAP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty in Alleged Shooting Case Involving Former Friend ASAP Relli

American rapper ASAP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has entered a plea of not guilty in response to two felony charges related to an alleged shooting incident involving his former friend, ASAP Relli (Terell Ephron). The charges stem from an event that reportedly took place in November 2021, where Rocky is accused of using a semiautomatic handgun against Relli.

The 35-year-old rapper appeared in court for his arraignment on Monday, where he also waived a formal reading of his rights. The case is set to proceed with a pretrial conference scheduled for March 6.

Rocky’s defense attorney, Joe Tacopina, spoke to reporters post-arraignment, describing his client as “cool as a cucumber” in the lead-up to the trial. Tacopina highlighted Rocky’s eagerness to conclude the trial, emphasizing his desire to focus on his family life, including spending time with his two sons, RZA, 19 months, and Riot Rose, 5 months, whom he shares with pop icon Rihanna.

The “Praise the Lord” rapper, who pleaded not guilty to the assault charges in August 2022, is expected back in court on March 6 as the legal process continues. This case has garnered significant attention, given ASAP Rocky’s high-profile status in the music industry and his relationship with Rihanna.
