VIDEO: Diamond Platnumz's Hat Incident in Dodoma Trends

The ever-popular Tanzanian artist, Diamond Platnumz, is trending yet again, this time following an incident in Dodoma. Having traveled directly from South Africa, where he was shooting, to Dodoma for the upcoming Wasafi Festival scheduled for December 2nd, Diamond found himself at the center of an unexpected situation.

The controversy began when Diamond’s cap, a Boston Celtics Mitchell & Ness NBA Green basketball Cap valued between $35 and $75 (approximately Tsh 80,000 to 170,000), was stolen in front of an audience. Clearly upset by the theft, Diamond expressed his displeasure to the security personnel, emphasizing the importance of the cap in his planned outfit for the day. His team member, Onesom, was tasked with ensuring the cap’s recovery.

Fortunately, the story has a happy ending as the cap was later found. The cap, which is not a snapback but an original team cap of the Boston Celtics, holds significant value. If it were gifted by a Celtics player, its worth could be even higher. The cap was part of the carefully selected wardrobe Diamond had brought for his Dodoma trip.
