Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has yet another reason to celebrate as his hit track ‘Gbona‘ earns platinum certification in France. This remarkable achievement comes on the heels of his international acclaim, which kicked off with the explosive success of ‘YE’ in 2018.

The 2019 track ‘Gbona‘, lifted from his Grammy-nominated album ‘African Giant’, has officially crossed the 150,000 sales mark in France, securing its platinum status as confirmed by the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP). This marks ‘Gbona’ as Burna Boy’s second platinum record in France, joining the ranks of his previously celebrated single ‘On The Low’.

Adding to his growing list of accolades, Burna Boy’s track ‘Alone’ from Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack has also been adorned with a Gold certification by SNEP.

Since his rise to global stardom in 2018, Burna Boy has solidified his position as Africa’s leading musical export. With four albums released since 2019, including the Grammy-winning ‘Twice As Tall’, and his most recent ‘Love, Damini’ receiving a Grammy nod, Burna Boy’s influence continues to expand.
