In addition, “Umeme” is a song by Kenyan singer Willy Paul. The video for the song was shot and directed by Johnson Kyalo.
The song’s lyrics focus on the power of electricity, with the chorus repeating “Umeme ni kitu gani” which translates to “What is electricity?”. The song has since become an anthem in Kenya and has become popular throughout East Africa.
