Our vocal rendition of Tyler ICU’s remix of the Italian folk song, Bela Ciao, featured in the hit Netflix series La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). – Ndlovu Youth Choir
In addition, “Bella Ciao” is an Italian folk song, adopted by the Anti-Fascist Resistance. It was used during the 2nd World War by the resistance against the Italian Social Republic.
The song has much older origins, on the other hand, originating around the late 19th century, where it was sung by rice field workers.
The song is about the Mondina’s, who are the female rice weeders.
