MONI CENTROZONE
Moni Centrozone, born Awadhi Chami on June 29, is a Tanzanian hip-hop recording artist and rapper from Dodoma, Tanzania. Also known by fans as Dr. Malume, he is recognized for his sharp Swahili lyricism, street rap style, and ability to blend hard-hitting hip-hop with Bongo Flava and African rhythms. Moni Centrozone gained mainstream attention through “Usimsahau Mchizi” under Tongwe Records before later building his independent movement through Majengo Sokoni Music. He is known for songs and projects such as “La Moto,” “Chuchu Dede,” “Mihela,” “My Life” featuring Jux, Tunaishi Nao, Road to Mazengo, and the Malume rap series. He has also worked with major artists including Harmonize, Country Boy, Young Lunya, Marioo, and Jux.
