Khaya Mthethwa, born on November 25, 1986, is an award-winning South African gospel singer, songwriter, pastor, and multi-instrumentalist from Umlazi, Durban. He first gained national attention as a member of Joyous Celebration before making history in 2012 as the first black contestant to win Idols South Africa. Known for his powerful voice, worship leadership, and musicianship, Khaya has released projects such as For You, The Uprising, and the live worship project Art & Worship II: The Encounter.
