Darassa, born Shariff Thabit Ramadhan on September 3, 1988, is an award-winning Tanzanian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Singida, Tanzania. Widely respected as one of East Africa’s strongest Bongo Hip-Hop voices, he is known for blending thoughtful rap lyrics with smooth Bongo Flava and Afro-pop melodies. Darassa rose to major fame with songs such as “Sikati Tamaa” featuring Ben Pol and the continental hit “Muziki,” which helped cement his place among Tanzania’s top hip-hop artists.
