Zimpraise presents “Muri Mwari,” a majestic Shona gospel and contemporary live worship song released as a special celebration of the choir’s 20th anniversary. Released on September 30, 2026, the song is led by the expressive vocals of Munashe Ndoma, also known as Mumue_washe. Its central message is a declaration that God remains sovereign, faithful, and unchanging regardless of the seasons of life.

The release forms part of Zimpraise’s build-up toward its major anniversary celebration, The Apostolic Gathering, at Glamis Arena. Written and musically structured by Joseph Madziyire, the song was produced by Emmanuel Chiwanga under Reborn Legacy, with executive production from AfriLegacy Inc. The performance was recorded at Sahwira Lifestyle Hub (Nyaradzo) in Zimbabwe, giving the project an intimate live setting.
At its heart, “Muri Mwari” means “You Are God” and focuses on divine constancy, surrender, and unwavering faith. The song reflects on how human circumstances and seasons may change while God remains an unshakable source of hope and stability. It also serves as a testimony to Zimpraise’s two-decade spiritual journey and the worship legacy being carried into future generations.
Musically, the song combines acoustic instrumentation with rich choral arrangements and a classic praise-and-worship atmosphere. Munashe Ndoma’s clear and emotionally resonant lead vocals sit prominently above the layered backing choir, creating a powerful sense of communal worship. The arrangement balances contemporary musical elements with the warmth and depth of traditional choral gospel.
“Muri Mwari” therefore works as both a personal worship piece and a celebration of Zimpraise’s remarkable musical journey. Its message of God’s unchanging nature gives the song an encouraging quality suited to prayer, reflection, and congregational worship. As the choir marks 20 years of ministry, the release connects its past, present, and future through a simple declaration of faith: God remains God through every season.
