The modern rendition was officially released on September 26, 2026, bringing the more than two-decade-old composition to a wider digital audience. The recording was handled by Vincent Pro, who oversaw the recording, mixing, and mastering, while the accompanying visuals were directed by Ansleme.
“Amatunda,” meaning “The Fruits” or “The Choice Harvest,” draws deeply from the imagery of the Song of Solomon. The song presents the spiritual relationship between Jesus Christ as the Bridegroom and the Church as His Bride, highlighting divine love, intimacy, devotion, and the believer’s eternal value.
Musically, the modern version transforms the classic composition into a rich and atmospheric worship experience. Amani Keyz and Sam Keyz provide layered keyboard progressions, Dieudonne delivers intricate guitar work, and Jamus drives the rhythm alongside the choir’s expansive vocal harmonies.
Through its timeless message and refreshed production, “Amatunda” serves both as a congregational worship anthem and a source of encouragement for personal reflection and prayer. Hermon Choir’s longstanding ministry, which dates back to 1998, gives the song an added sense of heritage while allowing its message of Christ’s unwavering love to reach a new generation.
