It also reflects on how relationships and social circles may shift when someone starts experiencing greater financial freedom.
Musically, Cheap Money blends Kenyan Trap Dancehall with Afro-sounds Fusion. The production is driven by a bass-heavy urban beat and an aggressive rhythmic pace that keeps the energy high throughout the track. Countree Hype contributes to the production with a sound designed around heavy bass, energetic rhythms, and contemporary dancehall influences. Colorado’s forceful vocal delivery works closely with the instrumental to create a performance built for street mixes and high-energy environments. The combination also gives the song a cross-cultural connection between Kenyan urban music and Jamaican dancehall influence.

The fast-paced production and Sheng-driven performance give the song a distinctly Kenyan identity while maintaining broad Afro-urban appeal.
