“Apite” is an emotional Bongo Flava track by talented Tanzanian singer and songwriter Ibraah, featured on his Love Season EP.
RELATED: Ibraah – Leo Ft. Harmonize
The song explores love, loyalty and the outside pressures that can threaten a romantic relationship. Through heartfelt Swahili lyrics, Ibraah speaks about remaining committed to his partner despite people who may wish to see their relationship fall apart.
At the center of the song is the memorable idea of waiting for “shetani apite”—literally allowing the devil or negative forces to pass rather than letting them destroy the relationship. The phrase gives the track both its title and its emotional identity.
“Apite” combines affectionate lyrics with moments of vulnerability as Ibraah describes how deeply he values his partner, while acknowledging jealousy, gossip and other challenges surrounding their love.
The track is accompanied by an Official Visualizer, offering a visual presentation of the song while keeping the main focus on Ibraah’s music and romantic storytelling.
