The track blends Vic West’s modern urban Afro-rhythms with Zaituni’s coastal Swahili Taarab influences, creating a distinctive fusion of contemporary and traditional East African sounds.
“Sitoki” carries a confident and resolute message, captured in its catchy hook, “sitoki, hapa sitoki,” expressing a firm decision to stay rather than walk away.
Musically, the song combines infectious Afro-rhythms with the melodic character of coastal Taarab, giving Vic West and Zaituni a smooth and memorable collaboration.
