Tanzanian singer, songwriter, and record producer Mocco Genius teams up with Bongo Flava icon Alikiba on a brand new song titled “Single.”
RELATED: Mocco Genius Ft Dogo Paten – Nitakesha
The track appears as Track No. 4 on Mocco Genius’ KANDA EP, a project created as a tribute to the generation that came before us—the era when music was mainly experienced through cassette tapes and radio.
Through KANDA, Mocco Genius connects the past with the present, celebrating the sounds, culture, and creativity that helped shape the music enjoyed by today’s generation while presenting that nostalgic influence through a modern perspective.
On “Single,” Mocco Genius and Alikiba turn heartbreak into a playful declaration of freedom. The song follows someone who has been deeply disappointed in love and has finally decided that staying single is better than continuing to suffer in an unhealthy relationship.
Alikiba brings his signature storytelling and smooth delivery to the record, recalling betrayal and emotional pain before proudly embracing single life, while Mocco Genius reinforces the message of knowing when to let go rather than forcing a relationship that has already lost its meaning.
