Isras Mello delivers “Tika,” a deeply vulnerable Congolese urban single featuring vocal support from Kethia Nzaga. Officially released on September 27, 2026, the track marks an important chapter in the Goma-based artist’s career as his debut independent project following his departure from Top Five. Blending Congolese Urban, Afro-Fusion, and R&B-Blues, the song moves across Lingala, Swahili, and French.

Translated from Lingala as “Leave” or “Let Go,” “Tika” explores emotional boundaries, relationship exhaustion, and the difficult process of letting go. Co-written alongside Yoeli Mufasa, the song presents a vulnerable conversation shaped by emotional tension and the need for personal distance. Its multilingual approach allows the narrative to move between the emotional weight of Lingala and rhythmic Swahili passages.
The track represents a departure from the more festive and high-energy style associated with some of Isras Mello’s earlier releases. Instead, he delivers expressive verses that place vulnerability and storytelling at the center of the performance. Kethia Nzaga complements his delivery with harmonious vocals, creating a striking contrast between the two performers.
Produced by Beni, “Tika” is built around a smooth, atmospheric mid-tempo rhythm that gives the vocals room to breathe. The restrained production supports the song’s emotional narrative without overwhelming the lyrical message. This creates an intimate Afro-fusion sound that balances contemporary urban production with the soulful character of R&B and blues.
The accompanying visual was directed by Benjamin Kumpanyi, with Nicolas Iragi serving as assistant director. Released under Black Fame House, WaniRecords, and Yo_Ent, the song introduces Isras Mello’s independent chapter with a more reflective musical direction. With its emotional storytelling, multilingual delivery, and atmospheric production, “Tika” presents a personal and vulnerable side of the Congolese artist.
