Distance is the debut single from newly formed South African music duo Zulu Queens, bringing together powerhouse vocalists Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo. Featuring Feza, the track was released on August 19, 2026, under Nkabi Records.

The collaboration introduces a fresh musical partnership that blends the distinctive sounds of Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo with Feza’s smooth melodic delivery. “Distance” combines elements of Maskandi, Amapiano, Afro-pop and contemporary African rhythms, creating a sound rooted in South African musical culture while maintaining a modern feel.
Lyrically, the song explores love, longing and the challenge of maintaining an emotional connection when two people are separated by distance. The contrasting vocal styles of the three artists help bring different emotions and perspectives to the record.
“Distance” also serves as the first taste of Zulu Queens’ upcoming joint album, Isithembu. The project is scheduled for release on August 28, 2026, with additional appearances expected from artists including Mthandeni SK and Ntencane.
An official visualizer for the song has also been released through Inkabi Records, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new chapter for Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo as Zulu Queens.
